Evaluating the effectiveness of a Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) application for enhancing the learning experience of dental students.
XR Case
The MAR application was used by students in a medical education setting, where it helped enhance their understanding of anatomical structures and medical knowledge by interacting with three-dimensional models. The study assesses student satisfaction and learning outcomes after using the MAR application.
Detail
Target Audience
A total of 64 students were recruited for the study.
Methodology
The students used the MAR application on their smartphones or tablets, engaging with 3D models of medical content during their courses. They completed questionnaires before and after using the app to evaluate their knowledge and learning effectiveness.
Outcome
The use of MAR significantly improved the students' learning outcomes, increasing their knowledge retention and motivation to learn. Students reported high satisfaction with the interactive 3D models and found the technology valuable for their education.
Acknowledgments
The development of the MAR application was made possible through collaborations with academic professors and technical developers.
